AMD Corporation tell the truth that Sony PS4 Console Use 8 Cores AMD Jaguar On System Chip. The new core design will add support for SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AES, PCLMUL, AVX, BMI, F16C, and MOVBE instruction sets and increase memory address space from 36 bits to 40 bits.
Each AMD Jaguar core manufactured with 28 nm process will be 3.1 mm2 large, which is smaller compared to Bobcat core manufactured with 40 nm process and 4.9 mm2 in size.
Also AMD add custom AMD Radeon HD core with unified array of 18 AMD GCN-like compute units (1152 stream processors which collectively generate 1.84TFLOPS of computer power that can freely be applied to graphics, simulation tasks, or some mixture of the two), various special-purpose hardware blocks as well as multichannel GDDR5 memory controller.
The Sony PS4 Console will come with 8GB of unified GDDR5 memory sub-system for both CPU and GPU as well as large-capacity hard disk drive.
