November 11th, 2012 0 Comments

Although both are run on Android system, yet both of these phones different in the operating system and processor usage. So with its price. Surely this be a consideration that must payed with clearly when you want to buy one of these phones.

As usual, this one matter is a matter of taste. Want a slim with box shape or the rounded models with four elbow that blunt. Please just choose which your choice. If weight not an issue, since both equally weighted, 122 g. Choice of colors, Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 only provides one option, namely black, while LG Optimus L7, other than black there is white color.

The placement of both buttons quite simple. The settings of both volume are on the left side, while the power button/unlock different. L7 is on the upper side, Ace 2 at the right side. The similarity of placement was on charger port and audio jack which are on the upper and lower side. For physical and haptic buttons, its located same, only the position of back button opposite each other, one in left (L7) and Ace 2 on the right.

Screen size 4.3 inches and 3.8 inches which one would you choose. Surely some of us answering a larger screen. With reason, fun for browsing, play games, and watch videos. Whatever your choice, yet which became concern in here is there’s “forcing pixel” in L7. With the same resolution 480 x 800 pixels and different screen size, as if pixels is pulled to fill the screen, so the pixel density different from Ace 2.

This is what causes pixel density belongs Ace 2 was better (246 ppi), while L7 only 217 ppi. Pixel density indicates how many pixels that appear on the screen area. The bigger the number, the higher the image quality.

For display technology, Ace 2 uses Plane to Line Switcing, Thin Film Transistor (PLS TFT) whereas L7 using In Plane Switching technology, Liquid Crystal Display (IPS LCD). The both display has quick response and already multitouch, it’s just L7 screen has been given safety of Corning Gorilla Glass to prevent scratches, not with Ace 2 screen that without protection. Means that you have to buy it the anti-scratch.

To balance the interface of Ace 2 and L7, tried to inform Samsung whether ICS upgrade are available for Ace 2. The good news Ace 2 will soon get Jelly Bean upgrade following Samsung Galaxy SIII along with nine other series. So that could be above L7 in software.

In Ace 2 interface, there are seven main page, while on Android ICS of L7 only has 5. As usual this main screen can be customized with different shortcuts, widgets and folders, with the same easily settings, press it and slide. For delete an application or folder, recycle bin of ICS interface is above the screen whereas Gingerbread is below.

It’s just for the look and operation of ICS more interesting. For instance, for the movement of screen can be set with certain effects. Just press menu, go to Home setting, then select screen swipe effect (there are 7 choices). Besides application files, downloads, widgets already categorized separately so easily when doing searches.

In this section became battle of two different processors. Which the one using single core, while another one use dual core. Later will seen how L7 performance when compared to Ace 2.

Ace 2 performance in hardware, tested with some software and getting total numbers 4611 for AnTuTu, 2624 score was the peak for Quadrant, and the last number 54.0 fps for measuring graph using NeoCore. Try to compare with its rivals L7, AnTuTu Benchmark got total final result 3120, Quadrant 1896, and NeoCore 56.3 fps.

Now, the sound output, L7 supported with Dolby mobile sound enhancement that makes clear sound output. Unfortunately, placement of the speaker in the left corner, if be grasped will damped by hand, so the sound not loud. While for Ace 2 located next to the rear camera lens. Our opinion, the sound output both of these phones quite good however L7 more fun one level.

On radio, both interface are completely different. The use of both were very easy and has similarities features such as automatic channel scan, schedule a radio off in a matter of minutes and others. For turn the radio on, both phones must plugged into the earphone first. In both there are no record schedule for favorite broadcasts.

On the paper, both phones has same camera resolution. Resolution of 5 MP plus flash support. From the data of Elixir software, L7 best picture quality at 2560 x 1920 pixels, and has focus length 4.13 mm with 4 times magnification. While for front camera, VGA resolution (640 x 480) with focus length and same magnification with main camera. To record image only VGA quality, its speed recorder 30 fps, 30 second duration with 3GP format.

While Ace 2, the best image quality at 2560 x 1920 pixels, but has wider focus length ie 3.54 mm, whereas front camera is VGA resolution with 2.17 mm aperture lens. To record its picture is better, resolution of 1280 x 720, record speed of 30 fps, the record results format of 3GP, 30 second duration.

Ace 2 image results considered better from L7 because contrast level and its saturation balanced so get natural colors while for L7, sun exposure makes the original color disappeared due to over.

For wireless connection or data cable, both are fairly complete. In addition, both also equipped with application for connected with device using Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA). In L7 its name SmartShare application while Ace 2 is All Share. For battery from testing indeed L7 a bit strong but not too significant despite its capacity higher.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 consideration of its choose because RAM is bigger, thus more responsive and fun for multitasking, 720p video resolution, as well as the sharpness of screen which better. While L7 superior on the big screen, thinner, and battery life.
