LG Optimus G Pro VS Samsung Galaxy S4 VS Nokia Lumia 920
From the three only Lumia 920 which has 8 MP resolution while the two rivals already above with 13 MP resolution. However was very confident that the Pure View technology and Carl Zeiss lens support capable of taking pictures without blur and able to create good results despite insufficient light conditions.
To activate the camera quickly without to enter the menu or home screen can only be done on Lumia 920. Because Nokia provides shortcut buttons that can also be used as camera shutter. Just press those button then camera immediately active even when the screen is locked. Its placement on the bottom right side after the volume and power buttons. If the two rivals want like to Lumia 920, could make camera shortcut on the homescreen.
Must include the screen in the test camera this time as a variable because there is a plus which can get from the three. When doing shooting sunrise picture at the summit of Mount using Samsung Galaxy S4 and the other LG Optimus G Pro must remove the gloves that are used since both mobile phone screen couldn’t respond to the feedback when touched. Although already removed sometimes a touch of finger still just don’t get a good response because the fingers numb from freezing due to cold.
While Lumia 920 can operate the camera settings while using gloves. This is an advantage from Lumia 920 screen which isn’t on the two rivals. Nokia has given sensor called Synaptics ClearPad series 3. The surface of the screen that touched will still respond even if not in direct contact with the skin of the hand, so that it can be used with gloves or other objects such as nails and pens.
Weakness on both phones which can’t be operated when wearing gloves was anticipated by using shutter voice command (voice control). On Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG Optimus G Pro it is very helpful in case experienced in Mountain.
Users simply say the word ‘Smile’, ‘Cheese’, ‘Capture’, or ‘Shoot’ to take pictures. It’s just that when you want to change other settings still difficult since have to open the glove. At Nokia Lumia 920 doesn’t have features like Voice Control like on the two rivals, and Lumia 920 still superior for ease of use in the above case. However for shooting with the use of front camera, voice control is very helpful so that the image doesn’t shake.
The size of the image in Samsung Galaxy S4 camera, Lumia 920 and LG Optimus G Pro isn’t the same though at the same resolution. For other features, LG Optimus G Pro has been equipped with Dual Camera and Dual Recording, which means users can shoot photos or record video using front and rear cameras simultaneously. This feature also owned by Samsung Galaxy S4, but not on Lumia 920.
Again Nokia must comply because doesn’t have Panorama features like on the two rivals which can show off by taking 360-degree panoramic photo either horizontally and vertically. Nokia actually favored to take panoramic pictures, it’s just that the feature wasn’t built-in embedded in the body of Lumia 920 and the user will have to download it first in the store and it’s free. Nokia Lumia 920 also comes with Smart Shoot and Cinemagraph features. The two features more exclusive because it is only in Lumia 920 and 820.
Switch to camera mode, LG Optimus G Pro has images shooting modes ranging from HDR, Panorama, Burst Shot, Beauty Shoot, and then there’s Time Machine Camera that will take pictures in large quantities at a time and there is Intelligent Auto, which is the introduction of character scene that automatically adjusts the camera settings. All these features can be enjoyed if using Galaxy S4 and apparently even more features to offer than what is owned by LG G Pro.
Minus of features on Nokia Lumia 920 in the default position is covered by the excellence of the resulting image. Particularly when shooting at night or during low light. Galaxy S4 and LG G Pro can’t match the power of Carl Zeiss lenses to capture images that lack of light due to the noise generated still less in Lumia 920.
The use of flashing lights on the three phones don’t give maximum results since the result become mottled and its range weren’t too far. So rarely use flash except to take pictures in backlight position.
In the outdoors, had snapped three Jeep with a background of mountains and once again choose Nokia Lumia 920 results for the winner because the color is closer to the original color and its detail even better than the two rivals.
If assessing a comparison between Samsung Galaxy S4 and Optimus G Pro, Samsung products superior yet are very thin. Because Optimus Pro camera is less sharp and somewhat brighter. To be honest a bit difficult to judge dozens of photographs from the three phones due the results not so much different. Camera angles and photographers are crucial to the success of creating a good picture and attractive.
However, must be admitted even if Nokia just relying 8.7 MP yet the two rivals had to give up the top spot for it. While Samsung Galaxy S4 at number two and the last is Optimus G Pro.
Carl Zeiss lens proves that the large resolution isn’t always able to produce a good and interesting images. Photographer factors as well as the right angle of taking pictures also become important factor that can’t be ignored. So the result are:
LG Optimus G Pro = 32,91%
Samsung Galaxy S4 = 33,54%
Nokia Lumia 920 = 35,54%
